Heya!

Been along time since I've used this...

Have an awesome time at Whitby, I was staying at the River Esk apartments with darkfox_uscm, depechemaid & my better half martini_grrl,

I'll give a heads up to the Pitchblack night (was on Thursday & Monday) also to the Alternative Goth weekend...Good job you did.

Well I'm goin to drop some photies for various peeps to peek at...

I also had a shit week after coming back...My Grandad sadly passed away Thursday 1st Nov, he had a massive heart attack on Tuesday 30th October the same day I came home from Whitby. He had been on life support from the Tuesday night up to the point he passed, to let him go with diginty we had the life support switch ed off ater the fact we were told that his condition was deteriating. I was very close to him, he literally brought me up with my Grandma and my Aunty. Ever since I have felt very hollow and haven't been the same, but it's all apart of the healing process.

Hey-o!

Yesterday was fantastic!

I was taken to Trentham Monkey forest as a early birthday present form Lindsay and Colin. I took my camera with me so I have pictures of Monkeys...if you look carefully you may see some babies in the pictures, the youngest was 10 days old :)

The baby above is the 10 day old one.... :)

These monkeys followed me out of the enclosure!

The Long weekend!

Ho! there...

It's now coming to the end of the Easter long weekend, I've done bits and bobs to keep me a wake partially!

Friday:

Myself, darkfox_uscm, depechemaid & martini_grrl travelled off to see Kev and Michelle after thier take over of the Appleby ( The regular haunt of pitchblackevent ). After a long discussion and chit chat sitting in the burning sun whilst sipping back juice in the Beer garden, we set off back to Stoke.

Saturday:

martini_grrl had to be at work early in the morning, so that meant that I had to be her personal chauffer and take her work (I could have had a few more hours in bed).

Around about Mid-day I went to see my Nan and have lunch with her and my bro. I saw my great Uncle Ken who give me a bit of a ribbing due to my hawk, with my Nan adding comments saying that I shouldn't of cut my hair...

Few Hours later, I decide to go home to chatch some lost sleep before picking martini_grrl up from work...I set the alarm on my phone and off to the land of Slumber I went...waking up wondering what time it is, I noticed that the alarm didn't wake me up as I didn't program it to work over a weekend....Qucikly I picked martini_grrl up and took her home to prep for the BBQ.

We booked a taxi to take us to the BBQ, with food and booze in a bag...I haven't had a good drink for ages, so I really wanna get bladdered. The Moment I arrived at our friends BBQ, I cracked open my cheap blueberry alco-pop and down the hatch it went....after a few hoursof general tomfoolery I decieded to get some more cheap and cheerful alcopop....after that disappered down the hatch it was time to go home...

Sunday and Monday generally chilled out ready to go back work.

Hi,

I rarely come onto here, even tho I did write in a previous message I will not neglect it :(

Whilst I was away, I have had a new haircut...no more long hair for me (for the time been). I have had a Mo/Death hawk sculptured and errected onto my scalp...Someone at work did say that it's become less of a hair style and more like a piece of sculpture (Tate modern art gallery, here I come!).

I will get more pics, but the one will have to do for the time been...

Hi everyone,

I have finally started packing some things for moving out of my childhood home (a litle lump in my throat) .

Whilst I was sorting through some stuff I came across some old poems and lyrics I used to write when I was 16-17, the time I started to discover who I really am. Some of the stuff is realy angst and some quite upsetting; this stuff are those which Marisha hasn't archived yet as she doesn't know of their exisitence.

Not long now untill moving out, it's going to be pretty hectic.

I have sooo much junk an pieces af crap, Marisha says I'm like Mr Treabous (the old guy off Life of Grime).

I had a great night last night @ Pitchblack goth night in Burton-upon-Trent.

With a car load of friends ( depechemaid, darkfoxuscm, Julie and martini_grrl) travelling from Stoke to Burton, with the Gothic rock complation CD1 getting us into the mood for a good night out.

It didn't take us long to get to Burton and to the Appleby.

As soon as we all walked into the Appleby, we were greeted by the usual bunch of revellers and members of the local goth scene (even tho there were a few EMO and Metalheads there).

I was a guest DJ for the night, lucky DJ Daddycat asked if I wanted to chill out a bit before having a set. To be honest I just wanted to have a drink and a ciggie just to cool off a bit.

Finally when it was my time to perform, I stood up to the task and played March Violets- Snake dance and I was quite surprised how much people started to dance to the song. I had in mind how my set was going to be played style wise, generally start off with some old skool goth (my fav) and then blend into some industrial (just managed to do it with Christian death -Sleepwalking Death mix) then mix in some modern goth/electro/industrial to lead up to the next DJ's set which is mostly EBM, Cyber and really hard Industrial (not Throbbing Gristle or SPK stuff).

Later on in the night I was offered by DJ Daddycat if I wanted to do a head to head, I thought why not as it was my first time I've done a head to head.

The Time of the head to head came, the Appleby was little bit more empty by now but whe decided to play the general Sisters and Mission era goth then slip into London After Midnight and into a downward spiral to some cheesey stuff via some requests for HIM and In Flames (!)

Well I had the Day off work because I needed to use all my holiday's up befor the start of August.

During my day of fun and games (more fun than eating a happy meal lol...not!) I finnished off recording a new track for 'Now Nothing' hum... and also as the boredom became too extreme that I created a Myspace account.

Hi everyone,

This weather is really doing my head in...it's too warn and bright to do anything interesting at all.

Positive out of the negitive, is that I decided to do some DIY on an old item of clothing. I looked into my wardrobe and thought "umm what shal I Mod up so I would actually wear it?" and I noticed an old Black army shirt and the light bulb lit up up! I had just recieved the 1st issue of Drop dead magazine and remembered a picture in there which slightly inspired me, so I grasped the army shirt and I knew what I was going to do with it.

Basically here are the steps below exactly what I did:

1) Cut the shirt so it was shorter in length and cut it into this shape /-\ if operned out. So when the shirt is fastened the front looks like this \/ there will be photos soon. I didn't hem it until the end though. I also I did cut the arms off to skinny fit type sleeves

2) Cut some pinstripe material and sewed it into a cuff to slip over the shoulder flaps. When that was done added to saftey pins to make crossbones effect, just need to buy a skull bead.

3) I cut up a Bauhaus t-shirt (Bela Lugoi's dead) and sewed the motive/picture to the back of the newly modded shirt.

That was all.

House update!

Finally I have recieved the conveyencing surveys back saying the house is all A OK!

I contacted the estate agents enquiring if they need to see the survey...but they said that they have a copy of the report. Also they informed us that we possibly be moving in by the end of the month :)

So I best start packing some of my things...it's going to be sad as I have lived at the same house with my parents all my life but positive thing is that I will be able to please my self in MY new home.

So guy's prepare for a party. :P

Hi Guy's here is the latest news from the Dr.

Me & martini_grrl have finally brought a house after a week of actually looking for one.

We are looking forward to it, the location is pretty much centrallised to friends and amenities. The property is literally just off the A50 so it won't bee too hard for our friends to find us.

The moving in date is not too clear but on our life incurance forms it states 1/7/06...so fingers crossed.

Well martini_grrl has dragged me around my the scruff of my neck (with my mum also having a tight grip) around looking at furnitiure and other domestic items. Damn... I'm going to have lessons to domesticate me :p.

Well I know what people are thinking... "are you having a house warming?" the answer is... of course.

Another lazy bank holiday Monday...

First thing this morning I called into Tescos with martini_grrl to pick up some supplies to send off Ebay items.

Me and martini_grrl have seen a nice house which is affordable for our pocket, we did go to check it out yesterday and it is suitable for us 1st time buyers.

Also today I have re-dyed my deathrock sids with a dye depechemaid so kindly gave to me on Saturday night.

I had a great night last night.

I went to Pitch Black, a free Dark alternative night in Burton Upon Trent.

Unfortunately I got my self lost on the way, which did make the night a little too short. When I finally got there Marisha (my fiancee) & Julie got mobbed as soon as they got in to Pitch Black, I was just a little stressed out after going around and round in circles.

I took depechemaid & darkfox_uscm to Pitch Black for the first time. I hope you guy's enjoyed it.

darkfox_uscm kindly and for some reason paid for the petrol I put in my car before travelling to Burton.

I know the next Pitch Black is on 20th May 06 which is a saturday, so I will be going on the tour of duty again.

Hi,

Today is my lovely fiancee's 21st birthday.

We went out for a Thai meal last night with my parents for the celebration (sooo nice the meal was).

Friday night, we ventured out with a few freinds depechmaid & darkfox_uscm to Jilly's rockworld in Manchester. It was a good night there are a few photo's on depechmaid's journal.

Synth riffs!

Hi guy's & Gal's

I have finally got the memory card I wanted for my synth...God I have created some ugly noisE!

With all my backing tracks done to a standard rate, I have started to apply some recorded synth riffs directly to the P.C to one of the tracks!

Hopefully tonight I will have finnished adding the synths to all of the tracks.

I was quite amazed how some of the backing tracks alone are quite powerful or have a nice atmospheric feel.

Unfortunatley my Korg Prophecy is a bit obsolete but I love it. I do keep checking ebay to see if I can get a cheap synth, but the good ones are always sold £300+.

Synth memory card!

Yesterday I tried to contact Korg to order a memory card for my Korg Prophecy.

As I phoned the phone number I was given, an answer machine kicked in quoting that orders can only be made 9-5 Monday to Friday.

This was no use as generally I'm working within those hours.

I need this card so that I don't save over the pre-set sounds when I'm trying to create a new synth sound.

Well I'm now trying to set synth riffs to the backing tracks I have created for the music project me and Darkfox_uscm are involved in.

well that is all at the moment folks.
